It was wonderful to greet each class at the door of the village hall and to see and hear how eager they were to get inside to choose their pre-loved books to take home. There were so many happy customers, who couldn’t wait to get started with reading their new purchases and I saw so many beaming smiles when the children found some ‘buried treasure’ that they could buy for only £1.
When we’ve counted our takings, I will reveal our grand total. All funds raised are used to buy future brand new books that are then presented to the classes throughout the coming year.
A big thank you to everyone who donated books for us to sell; there was a wonderful selection to keep everyone happy.
