On Thursday 7th July, we all geared up for the summer holidays by lounging around in the sun, reading books and enjoying a cool drink and an ice lolly. The weather was perfect, warm but not burning us to a crisp and it was an absolute dream to just ‘keep calm and read’!
At Wickhambreaux CofE School, we value reading so highly, that it’s always top of our agenda, but we never lose sight of the fact that it is a great pleasure to get our noses into a book and then maybe have a quick chat with others about what we’ve read to share other good reads that may be going on.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Mrs Abbott and Mrs Robson for coming in to serve the ice-cold drinks for everyone.
