Welcome to Griffin Class
Welcome to Griffin Class which is home to Years 3 and 4 at Wickhambreaux. The children chose our class name. Griffins represent courage and leadership, which are two values children develop in Key Stage 2. We want them to lead by example and develop the courage to make mistakes and grow in resilience from them. One of our class sayings is ‘making mistakes is how we learn!’.
Mr Kent, Miss Hooper and Mrs Dawson aim to make learning fun, accessible and memorable. We hope your child will enjoy the new challenges and approaches to learning that Key Stage 2 has to offer. On this page you will find links to useful documents and resources that will give you an insight into the Years 3 and 4 curriculum and the units of work that we will cover throughout the year.
Class News
We are covering three exciting themes this year: Ancient Egyptians, Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, and Castles and Other Local Buildings (Cycle A on the Curriculum Map below). Each theme is incorporated into our English, art, music, dance, history, geography and DT work.
